Hi
I am still looking for somewhere to move in in January. I have not found anything i have emailed a lot of ads on Daft.ie etc most are wanting single people or a years let. We are looking for short term initially until we settle. Some have got back and said we must pay approx 140 each a week!!! This is so much is it really so expensive please? We plan to move to Dublin or Cork. We are used to living in simple accommodation so we don't mind if it has the basics of furniture as long as warrm!
We initially thought of a studio or 1 bed flat but we now see we will probably have to share initially.
Please can someone give us details of a reputable company dealing with short term lets?
Thanks a lot
The other thing is we are considering getting a car so we could live outside the main cities but within a short distance. Where are good places where rent may be cheaper? There is myself and husband.
Best wishes

Hi Johno

E140 per person per week actually very cheap for short-term accommodation, you probably wouldn't even get a bed in a dormitory of a hostel for that price! If you are concerned about accommodation costs and are considering both Cork and Dublin, Cork would definitely be the best choice as it would be a lot cheaper.

Default Short term accommodation Cork

I found a single room for 6 weeks through a Cork based agency (eazycork) on oliver plunkett st. I stayed in one of their apartments in the city centre on rutland street, all bedrooms ensuite, the good thing is that you can pay your rent either weekly or monthly and if you want to leave the house they only require one week notice, Paul
