Default Opinion on Best Places to Live

I'd like to try and get a little feedback on where people think the best places to live in Ireland are? My girlfriend is 30 and I am 32. We have no children and no plans to have any. I run a business online and work from home. We're not sure what she'll be doing there. We LOVE nature, but don't want to be isolated somewhere. I've heard both Cork and Galway are lovely and from the pics I've seen and videos on youtube, they do look great! Then again, people say it rains much more on the west coast. Wicklow seems pretty nice too.

Opinions? Pros Cons?

P.S. - We plan on doing a Homestay for about a month while we look for an apartment there. Right now we don't even know what city we're interested in. Just kinda looking for ideas to study online, so any input would be GREAT!
