Default Overnight Accommodation

If you have not arranged accommodation with a friend or aquaintance you will probably need a place to stay for the first few nights in Ireland. The options available to you would be:

Short term accommodation

This option is discussed in Register(Free)/Login to View Link

Bed and Breakfasts

When you rent a B&B room you are basically renting a room in a private house that has opened it's doors to paying visitors. Accomodation standards vary but most B&B's will have a TV, Hairdryer, private WC and shower and Tea/Coffee making facilities, prices tend to be between Euro 30 and Euro 40 per person per night and include breakfast.
There are too many B&B's to list and you will find B&Bs in almost every town in Ireland. To search for B&B accommodation please visit Register(Free)/Login to View Link

Hostels

Hostels are another option when choosing your accommodation for the first few nights you spend in Ireland, they are a cheaper, but (in most cases) a less comfortable alternative to B&B's and Hotels. Expect to pay more for single/double rooms than you would when you share a dormitory with others.
Depending on the hostel you choose your WC and shower facilities may be en-suite or shared.
Almost every hostel has a communal kitchen which you share with other guests.
