Someone I know is buying a house for about 65,000 euros. How much should the solicitor charge him for doing the legals? He's been quoted about 1500 euros, but that seems a lot to me.

Where is he getting a house for €65K? Even in the current market I cannot imagine even a shell in Leitrim falling to that price. He should shop around for the best price, prices vary countrywide.
