Default Any Medical Transcriptionist Jobs Over There?

My girlfriend is a certified medical transcriptionist here in the states, which required a 2 year degree. I was curious if anyone knew the requirements there or how the job market was for that particular field? We're at anywhere from 10-12% unemployment here, depending on who you listen to. ( Though the free market figure is more like 20% ) but since she is part of the medical field, there are still jobs to be had. How's it looking over there? I know you guys are having a real rough go of it.

There are over 400,000 people unemployed in Ireland at present. The work that your girlfriend does is that of a medical secretary and would not be eligible for a work permit, even if there were any jobs available.

She won't be in need of a work permit, as she'll be a citizen.....though that doesn't matter if there are no jobs available.

Sources say your unemployment rate is sitting at 12.7%. We're anywhere from 10-12 over here...but that really depends on how you view economics. I think we're much higher. Hey, at least you don't have the largest debt in the history of the world, nor do you spend bazillions of dollars on a military empire and two unwinnable wars. Be thankful for that much.
